The Background Maurice Fuller

Maurice has been involved in the Financial and Customer Service Industries for over 35 years. Before setting up his own independent Management Development Consultancy, he had a successful career with Halifax PLC, in which he developed a unique mix of financial, commercial, coaching and operational skills.

He holds a Diploma in Business Performance Coaching and Life Coaching and his coaching expertise covers all forms of management strategy and development, especially executive/senior management coaching and mentoring, life coaching, career management, performance management, change management, and behavioural analysis.

Recent involvement in these fields has been with a diverse range of companies, both nationally and internationally, in a variety of industries ranging from financial services, rail industry, travel industry, manufacturing, construction, computing, e-commerce, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, insurance, estate agency, and retail distribution, to dentistry, health services, public schools, police forces, government agencies and major law firms.

He has experience at Board level, both in terms of steering group meetings and the preparation and presentation of strategy papers to the Board of Directors, and has had considerable involvement in the drawing up of Business Plans, Budgetary Control, Target Setting and Monitoring, Balanced Scorecards, Staff Recruitment and Appraisal.

He has held non-executive director appointments, including being chairman of a regional financial institution, has had direct involvement in the merging of companies and the conversion of companies to PLC status, and also in the research and development of major computerisation programmes.

Possessing a natural ability to communicate easily at all levels, especially in sales, marketing, and both HR and PR environments, with a strong emphasis on motivation, leadership, and forward planning, he has achieved a record of excellent working relationships with Business Owners, Executives, Management Teams, and staff, both in terms of good sales results and the personal development of the Management and their staff.

With a proven ability to operate in varying environments, markets and cultures, Maurice will always offer a personal and professional approach, display a sense of perspective and imagination, and deal with problems and negotiations constructively and diplomatically to achieve agreement.
