Maurice Fuller -- The Background
Maurice has been involved in the Financial and Customer Service Industries for over 35 years. Prior to setting up his own independent Management Development Consultancy, he had a successful career with Halifax plc, in which he developed a unique mix of financial, commercial, coaching and operational skills. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Fellow of the RSA, a Certified Management Consultant with the Institute of Management Consultancy, a Certified Professional Behavioural Analyst, and a Certified Professional Values Analyst. He holds a Diploma in Business Performance Coaching, Life Coaching, and is an Authorised External Provider of Continuing Professional Development courses for both Lawyers and Barristers. His consultancy expertise covers all forms of management development, including change management, client relationship management, performance assessment and appraisal management, executive/senior management coaching and mentoring, life coaching, career management, and outplacement counselling. Recent involvement in these fields has been with a full range of companies both nationally and internationally in various industries including financial services, manufacturing, construction, travel industry, computing, e-commerce, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, insurance, estate agency, and retail distribution, through to dentistry, health services, public schools, police forces, government agencies and major law firms. During his career with the Halifax he covered all aspects of management, with involvement at their Branches, District offices, Area offices and Head Office, where he was responsible for both Project and Administration Management. He has experience at Board level, both in terms of steering group meetings and the preparation and presentation of strategy papers to the Board of Directors, and has had considerable involvement in the drawing up of Business Plans, Budgetary Control, Target Setting and Monitoring, Balanced Scorecards, Staff Recruitment and Appraisal. He has held non-executive director appointments, including being chairman of a regional financial institution, has had direct involvement in the merging of companies and the conversion of companies to plc status, and also in the research and development of major computerisation programmes. Possessing a natural ability to communicate easily at all levels, especially in sales, marketing, and both HR and PR environments, with a strong emphasis on motivation, leadership, and forward planning, he has achieved a record of excellent working relationships with Executives, Management Teams, and staff, both in terms of good sales results and the personal development of the Management and their staff. With a proven ability to operate in varying environments, markets and cultures, Maurice will always offer a personal and professional approach, display a sense of perspective and imagination, and deal with problems and negotiations constructively and diplomatically to achieve agreement.
